TentClock turns your phone into an ambient bedside display: a large flip clock, an alarm, ambient scenes, and — if you allow location — the current weather.
Please note. TentClock's alarm relies on your device's own notification system — set Notifications to Allow for the app in Settings. Do Not Disturb, any Focus mode, and the silent switch will silence it, and there is no snooze.
Frequently asked questions
- Does TentClock need an account?
- No. There's no sign-in, no account, and nothing to set up beyond picking a scene and, if you want weather, allowing location access.
- Why does TentClock ask for my location?
- Only to show the current weather for where you are. If you say no, the clock and alarm still work fine — you just won't see a temperature.
- Is my location sent anywhere?
- Your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo, a weather data provider, to fetch the forecast — with no name or account attached, and nothing else. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
- My alarm didn't go off. What happened?
- Check that Notifications are allowed for TentClock in your device's Settings, then check Do Not Disturb, any Focus mode, and the silent switch — those do silence it. Force-closing the app does not: alarms are scheduled with iOS's own notification system and still fire when TentClock isn't running. There is no snooze.
- The weather isn't showing, or looks wrong.
- Confirm Location is allowed for TentClock in Settings and that you have a network connection — the app fetches the forecast live and shows nothing if it can't reach the weather service. If a reading looks off for your actual location, tell us the city and what you saw.
- Does TentClock work without Wi-Fi or cell service?
- The clock and alarm work fully offline. Only the weather reading needs a connection; without one it just doesn't update.
- Is there anything to buy?
- No. TentClock is free, with every scene and feature unlocked — no subscription, no in-app purchase, no account.
- Something's broken. How do I report it?
- Email us with: (1) your device and iOS version, (2) what you were doing, (3) what you expected versus what happened, and (4) a screenshot. That usually points us straight at it.
