Hatch Window is a fly-fishing conditions and catch-log app published by Baker Ventures LLC. This policy explains what the app does with your data. It is written to match exactly what the app does.
This app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or advertising SDK of any kind. Nothing you enter — your saved spots, your catch log, your settings — ever leaves your device.
Everything you add (custom spots, catch and outing log entries, app settings) is stored only in a local database on your device, and is used solely to show it back to you inside the app. Nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes this data — there is no account or server copy to also remove.
To show current conditions, the app requests public, non-personal data directly from two free government/public services over HTTPS:
These requests send only the river site number or coordinates needed to answer the request — never your name, device identifier, location history, or any other personal information. We don’t control what each service’s own infrastructure logs (for example, your IP address, as with any web request); neither service receives anything from us to associate that with an identity.
No one. The app does not track you and does not share data with third parties for advertising or any other purpose, because it does not collect any data to share. The two public services named in Section 3 receive only a river site number or a pair of coordinates — no personal information of any kind — so there is no user data held by a third party whose protection we would need to confirm. If a future version ever sends personal data to a provider, this policy will name that provider and state that it is contractually bound to protect your data to at least the standard set out here, and will be updated before that version ships.
Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, this applies equally to users of any age.
If what this app collects or contacts ever changes, this page will be updated first, in the same app update that makes the change.
