Frequently asked questions

How do I sign in?
With an email address and a password of at least 8 characters. There is no Google, Apple or Facebook sign-in. Depending on your setup, a new account may need to confirm its email address first — check your inbox if you can't get past the sign-up screen. Forgot your password? Use the link on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a reset link.
What's on each plan?
Starter covers the core: unlimited jobs, customers, quotes and invoices, scheduling with drive-time buffers, deposits, card payments through Stripe, and recurring jobs on weekly, biweekly, every-4-weeks and monthly schedules. Lite adds before/after photos on every job and your public booking page. Solo adds automatic customer texts — confirmations, reminders and "on my way" — and automated Google review requests. Pro adds drive-time route optimization, QuickBooks export, custom SMS templates and custom recurrence intervals. Current prices are shown in the app, since the store sets them for your region.
What happens when my trial or subscription ends?
You go read-only and nothing is deleted. The app says it plainly: "Your trial or subscription has ended. Your data is safe — subscribe to start creating and editing again." You can still open and read everything; you just can't create or edit until you subscribe. Cancelling is not the same as expiring — if you cancel, you keep full access until the period you've paid for runs out.
How do I cancel?
Through the store, not through us — Rigsheet cannot cancel a subscription for you. Go to More → Subscription → Manage, which opens your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
How do I restore a purchase?
More → Subscription → Restore purchases, or the same link on the plan screen. You must be signed into the same App Store or Play account you originally bought with — that's the cause of almost every failed restore.
Does my customers' money go through the app store?
No. Only the Rigsheet subscription itself is billed by Apple or Google. Deposits and invoice payments from your customers are real-world services, so they go through Stripe directly to your account and never through in-app purchase.
How do I get set up to take card payments?
Stripe is connected during onboarding — it takes about three minutes and you can skip it at the time. If you skipped it and now want to take cards, email us and we'll get you connected; there isn't a self-serve path back to it in the app yet. Until then you can record cash, Venmo, Zelle or check payments manually and everything else works normally.
What will my customers actually receive by text?
The seeded templates read: "Hi {first}, you're booked with {business} on {date} at {time} for {service}. Reply STOP to opt out." — plus a 24-hour and a 2-hour reminder, an "on my way" with your ETA, a thank-you when the job is complete, and a review request if you've turned those on. Quotes and invoices go out as a link. Every message includes opt-out instructions and STOP is honored immediately, and quiet hours (8pm to 8am by default) hold messages back rather than dropping them.
My texts aren't sending. Why?
Texting needs a provisioned number and carrier registration (10DLC), which can take a few days to clear after setup — texting starts working the moment it does, and the app works fully in the meantime. Until a number is live, confirmations fall back to email. Texting also starts on the Solo plan; Starter and Lite don't include it.
Automated review requests aren't going out.
They need your Google review link, which lives in Settings and is separate from every other setting — without it, nothing sends. You'll find the link in your Google Business Profile.
Can I export my data?
Yes, on every plan. More → Export my data produces a single JSON file with every customer, vehicle, property, job, quote, invoice, payment, service, add-on, recurring rule, message and template. Two things to know: it contains photo records but not the photo images themselves, and the customer CSV and QuickBooks invoice CSV are on the Pro plan.
How do I delete my account?
More → "Delete my account & data". It permanently deletes your business, customers, jobs and photos, and it cannot be undone. If you'd rather not do it in the app, email us from your account's email address and we'll do exactly the same thing and confirm when it's done.
Does my public page take bookings yet?
Not yet. It shows your business, your services and their size-adjusted prices, and asks the visitor to call or text you. Full online booking — pick a date, confirm size, pay a deposit — is coming in a later release.
Can I drag jobs around the calendar?
Not yet. The calendar is a week list rather than a drag-and-drop grid, and it highlights drive-time conflicts so you can spot a schedule that won't work. Reschedule from the job itself.
I archived a customer by mistake.
Archiving hides them from search but keeps all their job history and invoices. You can't un-archive from inside the app yet — email us and we'll sort it out.
Is there a limit on photos?
Yes, a fair-use cap: 20,000 photos per business, or 60,000 on Pro. If you genuinely need more than that, get in touch.
Is there a web version or an iPad app?
No to both. Rigsheet is an iPhone and Android app, in portrait. The website hosts your public page and the quote and invoice links your customers open — there's no operator sign-in on the web.
Something's broken. How do I report it?
Email us with your device and OS version, what you were doing, what you expected versus what happened, and a screenshot. If a change didn't sync, say so — the app queues work offline and retries.
