RiderDeck Support
A stage plot and tech rider builder from Baker Ventures LLC. Free, no account.
Getting started
- Add the band. Tap Add and pick from the instrument list — vocals, guitars, bass, keys, drums, percussion, horns, woodwind, strings, DJ and playback, plus the stage furniture a real plot needs: wedges, drum fills, IEM packs, amps, risers and power drops.
- Lay it out. Drag anything to move it. Tap to select, then drag the corner handle to resize, or use the width, depth and rotate buttons. The audience is at the bottom of the canvas.
- Set the stage and your details. Tap Plot for the stage size in feet, your band name and contact line, the paper size, and your rider notes.
- Export. Tap Export PDF. Page one is the plot; page two is the input list and the rider.
Questions
- Does RiderDeck need an account?
- No. There is no sign-in and no account. Open the app and start placing the band on the stage.
- Is there anything to buy?
- No. RiderDeck is free, with every instrument and both paper sizes included. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising, so there is nothing to cancel, restore or refund.
- Where is the input list? I only see a stage.
- It is generated, not typed. Every item you place carries its own channel needs, so the input list is built from the stage and appears on page two of the exported PDF. Change the plot and the channel list changes with it. Channels are numbered downstage first, then stage left to right, with 48V and DI flagged.
- How do I resize or rotate something?
- Tap an item to select it. Drag the round handle at its corner to resize, or use the width, depth and rotate controls in the panel that appears at the bottom. Items cannot be pushed off the stage: if a rotation would take one past the edge, it is scaled to fit instead.
- Can I save more than one plot?
- Not in this version. The app keeps one plot, saved automatically as you work. Export the PDF for a lineup you want to keep, then edit the plot for the next one. If you need several saved plots, say so in an email — it is the most likely next feature.
- My printed plot is cut off.
- It should not be. The layout is computed to fit inside the printable margins of whichever paper size you picked, at any stage size and any rotation. Check that Plot is set to the paper you are actually printing on, and that your printer or PDF viewer is not set to scale or crop. If it still clips, email us the stage size and paper size and we will fix it.
- Does it work with no signal?
- Completely. The app makes no network requests at all, so it behaves identically in airplane mode, in a basement venue, or on a plane.
- How do I get the PDF to the sound engineer?
- Tap Export PDF and pick anything in the share sheet: Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files, or a printer. The PDF is made on your device and goes wherever you send it.
- How do I delete my data?
- Delete the app. Everything it stored is on your device, so removing the app removes all of it. There is no account and no server copy. The detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Legal
- Privacy Policy — short version: the app collects nothing and sends nothing.
