DenialDesk · an app by Baker Ventures LLC

What it does

Understand the denial in plain language.Enter what your insurer said and DenialDesk helps you make sense of the reason code and what an appeal actually needs to address.
A structured appeal letter, drafted with you.Answer a few guided questions and the app assembles a clear appeal letter you can review, edit, and send under your own name.
Your appeal window, tracked.Track your internal appeal and, where it applies, external review, with reminders before the date — and the figure the app used, so you can check it against your own denial letter.
Keep the facts in one place.Your insurer, claim number, dates, amounts and notes for each claim, kept together with the letter the app drafts, so a follow-up call isn't a scramble. Attaching your own files isn't built yet.
Know your next step.If a first-level appeal is denied, DenialDesk points you toward the next option — a second-level or external/independent review.

How it works

  1. Enter the denial — insurer, claim, and the reason given.
  2. Answer the guided questions and let the app draft your appeal letter.
  3. Review, edit, and send it yourself, then track the deadline for a response.

Questions

Does DenialDesk guarantee my claim gets approved?
No. It helps you organize and write your appeal, but the insurer or reviewer decides the outcome. No app can promise approval.
Is this legal or medical advice?
No. DenialDesk is a self-help drafting and organizing tool, not a lawyer, doctor, or insurance agent. For complex or high-dollar denials, consider professional help.
Does it submit the appeal for me?
No. You send your appeal yourself, so it goes on the record under your name with your signature and any documents you choose to include.
Will it contact my insurance company?
No. The app never talks to your insurer on its own; it prepares what you send.
Is my health information private?
Everything is stored on your device — no account, no studio server. Your claim details and health information stay on your phone. Review the privacy policy before entering sensitive details.
What kinds of denials does it help with?
Common denials such as “not medically necessary,” out-of-network, coding, and prior-authorization issues. You enter the reason on your letter, and you review and edit everything the app drafts before you send it.
Please note. DenialDesk is a self-help drafting and organizing tool — not a lawyer, doctor, insurer, insurance agent, or ACA navigator — and nothing on this page or in the app is legal, medical, or insurance advice. No app can promise a claim will be approved. The controlling facts are on your own denial letter and in your plan documents; they can set different or shorter deadlines than any general figure the app shows. Confirm your deadline and appeal steps with your plan or a patient advocate before you rely on the app. For complex or high-dollar denials, consider professional help.
