Terms of Use — NoticeGuard

Last updated: September 23, 2026

NoticeGuard is provided by Baker Ventures LLC. By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please delete the app.

What NoticeGuard is

NoticeGuard is an informational deadline tracker for mechanics lien statutes. You enter a state, your role, and the dates for a job; it counts the statutory deadlines that follow and shows you the section it read them from. It is a reference and a calendar, not a representative.

Not legal advice

This app reports what the statute says and cites the section it read. It is not legal advice, it does not file anything for you, and it does not tell you what to do.

Statutes change, and courts reinterpret them. Every deadline in this app comes from a statute read on the date shown next to its citation — that snapshot can go out of date. Missing a mechanics lien deadline can extinguish your claim permanently, so confirm any deadline you are relying on with an attorney licensed in that state before you act on it.

Baker Ventures LLC is not a law firm, no one here is your attorney, and using this app creates no attorney-client relationship and no confidentiality. Nothing the app displays is a recommendation about what you should do on your job.

Coverage has limits, and the app says so

Each state's rule set lists what it does not cover, and you should read that list for any state you rely on. Mechanics lien law also turns on facts this app never asks for — the terms of your contract, whether the project is public or private, bonding, notice actually given, and more. A deadline the app does not show you may still exist.

Generated documents

This app generates this text. It does not file, mail, or record it, and it is not legal advice.

Where a statute prescribes a form, the app reproduces it and fills in the facts you entered. It deliberately leaves party names, property descriptions, and amounts blank rather than guessing them — completing, signing, notarizing where required, serving, and recording are all yours to do, on time and correctly.

Accuracy and your responsibility

Every date the app shows is computed from what you typed in. A mistyped furnishing or completion date produces a confidently wrong deadline, and the app has no way to detect that. You are responsible for verifying every date you act on.

Your data

Everything you enter stays on your device. We never receive it, so we cannot recover it for you. Keeping a backup — for example, the calendar export — is your responsibility, and deleting the app deletes your data permanently. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Paid features

Some features may be offered as a paid upgrade. Any purchase is handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play under their terms — we never see or store your payment details. Billing, renewals, and refunds are managed through your store account, and refund requests go to that store, not to us. Prices and what each tier includes may change; a change never affects a purchase you have already made.

Acceptable use

Use NoticeGuard to track your own jobs. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its statutory rule data, and do not use it to give legal advice to anyone else.

No warranty, and limits on liability

NoticeGuard is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Baker Ventures LLC is not liable for any lost lien rights, missed deadline, financial loss, or other damages arising from your use of the app or from reliance on any date or document it displays. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the app changes. The current version always ships inside the app, on the Terms screen, with the date it took effect at the top.
