What it does

Room by room.Add each room, shoot it, and the app prompts you to cover the places deposits actually get withheld over: walls, floors, appliances and anything already damaged.
Photos and notes stay together.Each room keeps its photos and your notes in one place, and the inspection is locked when you finish, so you have one organized record of the unit's condition at move-in or move-out.

No. MoveWitness helps you keep an organized record; whether a deposit is returned depends on your lease, your landlord, and your local law. It does not guarantee an outcome.

Does MoveWitness prove when my photos were taken?
No. MoveWitness keeps your photos and notes together and does not certify when a photo was taken. Evidentiary weight is up to the decision-maker; MoveWitness organizes your record but can't speak to how any specific court treats it.
Do my photos upload to a server?
No. The walkthrough lives on your device for your use; the PDF is one you generate and share yourself. See the privacy policy.
Can a landlord use it too?
Yes — the same walkthrough and report work for landlords documenting a unit's condition at turnover.
What if I forgot to document at move-in?
You can still do a move-out walkthrough; it's simply stronger when you have both ends to compare.
