About Baker Ventures
Baker Ventures LLC is a one-person independent software studio. It builds small, single-purpose iOS and developer tools, and it publishes free, source-linked answers for each of their categories.
Being straight about the size: two of six products are actually available. shipcheck ships as a Claude Code plugin. FlirtGym has been on the App Store since 12 August 2026. MileTruth, Rigsheet, HormoneLog and Nearvo are in development and not released, and every page about them says so.
That is relevant context rather than modesty. It tells you what to expect from support, from release cadence, and from a roadmap.
The products
| Product | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|
| shipcheck | App Store and Play pre-submission checks for React Native and Expo, running inside Claude Code | Shipping |
| FlirtGym | Dating conversation practice for iOS, formerly RizzMaxx | Live since 12 Aug 2026 |
| MileTruth | Gig mileage tracking and true net pay after vehicle cost | In development |
| Rigsheet | Job management for mobile detailers and residential cleaners | In development |
| HormoneLog | Perimenopause symptom and HRT record-keeping | In development |
| Nearvo | A daily connection habit for couples | In development |
The pattern
All six are the same shape: one problem, named narrowly, solved without a platform around it.
Not a mileage suite — a tracker that does not lose trips and tells you whether the driving paid. Not a field-service platform — quoting and scheduling for someone with one van, priced flat. Not a health platform — a record of what you take and how you feel, in a form a clinician can read.
The consistent design constraint is saying what a thing is not for. Every product page here has a "who this is not for" section, because a product that claims to suit everyone is describing a category rather than a tool.
Why the websites give everything away
Each product has a site that publishes its category's real answers, free, with sources attached and no signup: the two-rate 2026 mileage calculator, the required-reason API reference, the job pricing floor calculator, the question sets, the menopause symptom-scale explainers.
Two reasons.
The answers are useful whether or not the apps ship. Four of these products may never launch. The two-rate calculator still works, and the person who needed it still got it.
A page that only makes sense as an advert is not worth writing. The test applied to every page is whether it would still be worth reading if the product did not exist. Most of them would.
Open data
The Apple privacy-manifest SDK → npm map — all 86 SDKs on Apple's third-party requirements list mapped to the React Native and Expo packages that pull each one in, with the five required-reason API categories and all sixteen approved reason codes transcribed from Apple's rendered documentation. CC BY 4.0, corrections welcome as issues or pull requests.
Published openly because it is the kind of thing that should exist and did not, and because a dataset other people can correct stays accurate longer than one that only we can edit.
How the writing works
Everything published here follows one set of rules, which are themselves published so they can be held against us: primary sources on every claim, competitor prices from the vendor's own page with a date, no number published if it cannot be verified at source, evidence labelled by its strength, and our own products disclosed on every page they appear on — including the pages where a competitor is the better answer.

Corrections are genuinely welcome. If a claim on any of these sites is wrong, it is a bug.
